The module enables the handling of containers currently or previously supervised by the freight forwarder. To eliminate the need for manual data entry, the system offers container import with automatic assignment to the appropriate forwarding file. Each container can also be added manually to the records by the system user.
This solution is a key element of the PasCom II container forwarding management system and serves as the starting point for further registration of operational data related to the implemented file. The module provides a central register of units, which are then used in container and maritime forwarding processes.
The main features of this module include:
The module enables the creation, registration, and processing of cargo in terms of pickup, drop-off, and handling within container forwarding. Each file can be linked to a specific location, route, means of transport, and driver. The system provides a record of operations performed on the container along with their chronology. There is also a register of container types and configuration of operational statuses (e.g. loaded, empty, in transit).
Containers can be assigned to transport documents, including sea bills of lading and CMR documents. For each container, it is possible to assign costs and revenues, link them to a forwarding offer, and generate dedicated transport documents. Container forwarding orders are registered and analyzed in the context of routes, operations, and logistics parameters. The system supports reporting of operational data and financial summaries, enabling analysis of the efficiency of individual operations. The module is integrated with road, rail, and multimodal transport functionalities, allowing its use in complex operational structures.
The container register can be extended with the following additional modules: Shipment module and Offering module. For companies also involved in road/rail/multimodal transport, it is possible to connect the module with PasCom Transport II. Integration with other system areas ensures consistency of operational and document data throughout the process. The module supports scenarios where container forwarding orders in maritime forwarding are carried out using various modes of transport.
